Micro Mini 10/100/1000BASE-T to 100/1000BASE-X SFP Media Converter

The LNK-M3011-SFP is an adaptive 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet media converter that seamlessly

interconnects copper and fiber networks. Compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3z, and 802.3ab

standards, it supports conversion between:

Copper (RJ-45): 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, 1000Base-T electrical signals over twisted pair.
Fiber (SFP): 100Base-FX, 1000Base-SX/LX optical signals.

This conversion dramatically extends network transmission distances from the 100-meter limitation of

copper cabling up to a maximum of 120 kilometers over fiber optics. The converter supports operation

over multi-mode dual fiber, single-mode dual fiber, and single-mode single fiber.
A key feature is its USB-powered operation. When plugged into a computer's USB port, the converter

automatically powers down with the computer, providing significant energy savings. This compact

design makes the LNK-M3011-SFP an ideal solution for "fiber-to-the-laptop" applications requiring

Gigabit fiber connectivity where local AC power is unavailable.
